I’m Jolandi, the creator behind Onyx Nails Design, a brand internationally recognized for its unique, high-quality special effects and custom press-on nails.
My work has been featured by artists, photographers, costume designers, makeup artists, drag queens, and product designers, and featured in films, music videos, stage productions, and high-profile photoshoots.
When I started creating SFX nails over six years ago, there was nowhere to learn the techniques I needed. Special effects nails were an unexplored niche, so I had to teach myself through trial and error—spending countless hours experimenting, problem-solving, and perfecting my methods. Looking back, I wish I had access to courses like this to guide me, save me time, and speed up the creative process.
From everyday chic to dramatic cosplay and film-worthy SFX designs, my creations have been transformed into movie props, drag showpieces, and unique cosplay enhancements.
